Ignacio Torras President & CEO

Ana Maria Pereira

Ana Maria Pereira is a Partner and the Head of the Chile and Peru offices. She joined Tricon in 2008 and has led the market on the West Coast of South America. Initially doing polymers, she has expanded into chemical and liquid bulk trading. She has been in the Petrochemical business since she graduated. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Colombia’s National University and a post graduate degree in Quality Systems Management from Antioquia’s University. Ana Maria is originally from Colombia.

Brad Lockwood

Brad Lockwood is a Partner and the Global Product Manager for Xylenes. He joined Tricon in 2000 in the Operations group. He is a native Texan and is based at the Houston headquarters. Brad has a degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University.

Brian Morris

Brian Morris is Tricon’s Chief Financial Officer. He started at Tricon in 2007 and has held positions as Controller and Head of Finance. Prior to joining Tricon he worked for Big Four and Fortune 500 companies. Brian currently oversees areas including finance, risk management, treasury, information technology, and other support functions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Master’s Degree in the Science of Accounting from Grand Valley State University. He is also a CPA in Texas.

Bryan Elwood

Bryan Elwood is Chief Legal Officer at Tricon. Prior to joining Tricon Bryan headed the international trade and customs practice at the law firm of Curtis Mallet-Prevost and Colt & Mosle. Bryan also served as member of Mexico’s global trade negotiation team and was Chief Commercial Counsel for the Embassy of Mexico in Washington D.C. He is a member of the official NAFTA roster of experts that can be selected to resolve unfair trade disputes between nations. He has published various articles and was Editor in Chief of the NAFTA Arbitration Reports journal. Bryan earned his Law degree from the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, his LL.M at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., and has taught international trade law at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Daniel Green

Daniel Green has been with us since 2008 when he graduated from Tulane University Business School. For the first four years at Tricon, he worked in Operations for Aromatics and since has been focused commercially on Caustic and EDC. Over the past four years he is working in Tricon’s Chlor Alkali team to mature an already recognized brand name and take our volume and market share to new heights. His proactive attitude has helped the team reached peak volumes of 2mm MT of Caustic/EDC, with a very solid presence and profitability across markets.

Ignacio Torras

Ignacio Torras is Tricon’s primary shareholder and has been President of the company since the company’s inception in 1996. Motivated by the idea of creating a global trading and marketing company that specializes in a few products, he founded Tricon with the focus of clients, suppliers and most importantly, employees, as a priority. Before collaborating to start Tricon, he was hired by a Houston based chemical and gasoline trading company in 1988. Prior to that, he began his commodity trading career in Brazil, trading a wide range of commodities on the Brazil to China trade line. Ignacio was born in Barcelona, Spain, immigrated to Brazil in his youth and now lives in Houston, Texas.

Sanjay Moolji

Sanjay Moolji is the Global Director – Business Development, a key member and architect of Tricon plastics business globally. He joined Tricon in 2009 and is based out of the company Headquarters in Houston. Along with his trading responsibilities he is also leading the new business initiatives for strategic alliances with suppliers all over. Sanjay had his early education in India and is an Economics Graduate from the Calcutta University and has more than 28 years of global experience of Sales and Marketing in Chemical & Petrochemical industry.

Shi Weimin

Shi Weimin is a Partner and the Business Director for the Asia Pacific Region. He started as a trader at Tricon in 2005 and has traded Aromatics, Styrene Monomer and Chlor-Alkali. He has over 20 years of experience in the global chemicals and petrochemicals industry. Shi is based in Shanghai and is an Economics graduate from the Tianjin Institute of Foreign Trade.
