In Tricon Energy, the vision and direction of the company is shared equally among all employees. This ideology keeps the team motivated with the same goal for growth and progress in mind. As a private company, Tricon has a limited number of shareholders and reserves a certain percentage for the company itself. Below are short bios of our company leaders.
Ignacio Torras has over twenty years of experience trading chemicals and petrochemicals - his vast experience in the industry motivates his ability to better understand and support our clients. He was one of the founding partners of Tricon in 1996 and has been the President of the company since inception. As well as overseeing Tricon operations globally, he remains involved in the daily trading of Caustic Soda.
Andrew Fry has 25 years of experience in various finance and operating roles in chemical trading and distribution companies. His responsibilities include finance, operations, risk management, and other support functions. He has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sheffield and is a UK Chartered Accountant.
Brad Lockwood is a partner in Tricon and is based at their Houston headquarters. As well as trading Xylenes, he is global manager for aromatics. He has over 11 years in commodity trading and joined Tricon in 2000 in their operations group. He has a degree from Texas A & M in Marketing.
Serra Kucukoglu is a partner in Tricon Energy and General Manager of the company’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and CIS. Serra has a broad and diverse background of 22 years in the chemicals and trading industries, having also started on the operations and logistics side of the business. She joined Tricon in 2004 where she founded the Istanbul office, and has overseen the subsequent growth in the region. She has a degree in Marketing Management from Bogazici University.
Shi Weimin is a partner in Tricon and the business director for the Asia Pacific region. He manages Tricon’s Shanghai office. An economics graduate from the Tianjin Institute of Foreign Trade, Weimin has more than 18 years of global experience in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry, including periods of trading in aromatics, styrene and chlor-alkali. Weimin joined Tricon in 2005.
Amit Bansal is a partner in Tricon, and is based at the company’s Houston office. Among his responsibilities is the management of the Company’s back-office operations in India. Amit has a degree from Delhi University and a post Graduate diploma in Foreign Trade. He has 23 years of experience in management of Import / Export operations, 18 of which have been in chemicals and polymers.
