Ignacio Torras is a Spanish citizen with more than a dozen years of experience trading chemicals and petrochemicals. His ability to better understand and support our clients comes from his employment experiences inside the industry. Ignacio served as a Product Manager for TMHI from 1990 to 1992 and for Holland Chemical, Inc. from 1992 to 1995. At Tricon, Ignacio is primarily responsible for the trading of liquid caustic soda worldwide, and trading aromatics and blendstocks into and out of Latin America. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Richard Farrell is a U.S. citizen who holds a 1984 chemical engineering degree from Louisiana State University. Rick began his career as a chemical engineer at Cosmar’s Carville, Louisiana styrene plant. Following, Rick moved to Fina’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas where he was responsible for domestic styrene and aromatics solvent sales. While at Fina, Rick moved to the position of Raw Materials Manager where he was responsible for aromatics and olefin purchases and sales. In 1992, Rick became Sunkyong America’s lead petrochemical trader and helped build their USA petrochemical business. Rick joined Tricon in 1997 taking responsibility for the company’s worldwide aromatic business.

Jeff McNear is a U.S. citizen with extensive experience in chemical marketing, distribution and transportation. While at TMHI and Panachem he was responsible for sourcing and trading of organic and inorganic chemicals worldwide for eight distribution companies throughout Latin America. At TMHI he was also responsible for coordinating transportation, break-bulk, and storage arrangements, and the preparation of transaction and export/import documentation. At Tricon Jeff is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for managing all aspects of the organization, including credit, risk management, and banking relations. He is fluent in Spanish and has a B.A. in international affairs and Spanish from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
